Notice is hereby given that the Florida Model Jail Standards Review Committee will hold a meeting to which all interested persons are invited. Anyone wishing to record the meeting may do so but must provide their own equipment.

The meeting will be held on Friday, October 16, 2015, at 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.

Purpose: To discuss proposed changes, issues and concerns involving the minimum standards and operations of Florida’s county and municipal jails.
Note: The meeting will be at the Lake-Sumter State College Health Scence Center located at 9501 U.S. Highway 441, Leesburg, Florida 34788.

The most recent Florida Model Jail Standards Review Committee meeting was held Friday, September 12, 2014, at Keiser University in Jacksonville. The purpose was discuss proposed changes, issues and concerns involving the minimum standards and operations of Florida’s county and municipal jails.
The FMJS PREA Subcommittee held a public hearing on new proposed sexual abuse prevention and reporting standards January 7, 2013. For more information, contact Sgt. Juliane Day, 352-569-1746.
The most recent FMJS Standards Review Subcommittee meeting was held September 20-21, 2012.
