Honors and Affiliations

Appointed commissioner, Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation Commission, 2013; Gubernatorial Appointee, Florida’s Criminal and Juvenile Justice Information Systems Council; received special statewide recognition for leadership and support of “School Safety” efforts in Florida Schools; single recipient, “County Partner Award,” for his push for a resolution to the DJJ juvenile detention cost-share system, Florida Association of Counties, 2014; youth sports coach; board member: YMCA, United Way; executive board member, Okaloosa-Walton Homeless Coalition, 2002-present; recipient, Senate Medal of Excellence, the legislature’s highest award for service to the people of Florida, 2009; nominee, Officer of the Year, 1994.
