About the course: This course is designed for Sheriffs, Chiefs and Executive Law Enforcement staff.
Content: This workshop examines central components of the criminal intelligence process and Intelligence-Led Policing, including legal considerations and privacy issues. It provides an opportunity for executives to share best practices, discuss critical issues, identify legal pitfalls, and develop enhanced knowledge regarding the criminal intelligence function within a law enforcement agency. Numerous guidelines, examples, tools, and resources geared to assist executives in integrating intelligence into their agency’s operations will be presented. A discussion of state and local fusion centers is included in order to bring forward insights concerning their purpose, capabilities, and value.
There is a working lunch included.
