Hosted by the University of Central Florida Department of Criminal Justice
About the event: This important discussion will focus on the history of volunteer policing, issues facing volunteer programs, and the future of volunteer policing. International panel members will provide another added dimension to the discussion. Police chiefs, sheriffs, reserve unit coordinators, reserve personnel, law enforcement administrators, and criminal justice undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged to attend.
As a symposium, each of the panel members will present a short discussion about a particular area of volunteer policing. Then, audience questions about sworn volunteer policing will be fielded and addressed by the panel.
