About the course:  Courthouse Tactics examines the specific responsibilities for courthouse security officers and explores the true potential for violence. This one-day course taught by Calibre Press instructor Ray DeCunto uses security-specific case studies and video to help you examine the criminal thought process and to teach you to successfully detect pre-attack indicators, read body language, and link your mindset to your performance.
Topics covered: This one-day course will give you detailed insight into the most current cases of courthouse violence and cover important life-saving information including:

  • Understanding and interpreting body language
  • Verbal and non-verbal communication
  • Predicting and responding to courtroom disorders
  • Establishing physical and mental Peak Performance
  • The characteristics of an active shooter
  • How law enforcement should respond in an active shooter incident
  • Less lethal force
  • Deadly force
