PREA: Investigating Sexual Abuse in Confinement Settings-Palm Beach

Content: The Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) of 2003 was signed into to Federal Law by President George W. Bush. In May 2012, Attorney General Eric Holder signed the PREA Standards and President Obama announced the new law the same day. When sexual abuse occurs in confinement areas an Administrative and Criminal Investigation is initiated, this course was developed by the Department of Justice and The Moss Group to assist investigators in the unique aspect of Investigating Sexual Abuse in Confinement Settings.

Who should attend: Jail Administrators, Law Enforcement Officials and staff who have the responsibility of preventing, detecting and responding to sexual abuse in  confinement settings.

Class size: Enrollment is on a first come, first served basis. The class is limited to 35 participants; cutoff date for enrollment is September 1, 2013.
