John W. Vaughn
John W. Vaughn, a 51-year member of the Florida Sheriffs Association, was recognized last year with a Distinguished Service Award for his longtime support of the FSA and Florida sheriffs.
Though he doesn’t have any friends or family members who work in law enforcement, Mr. Vaughn, a U.S. Army veteran, said he feels a connection to the law enforcement community due to his prior military service because he had a similar commitment to keeping citizens safe.
After serving in the Korean War as a member of the U.S. Army, Mr. Vaughn moved back to his hometown of Lakeland, Fla. Later, he relocated to Naples, where he began his career in real estate. Throughout his 55-year career in real estate, Mr. Vaughn has received several honors including Realtor Associate of the Year, Realtor of the Year and Humanitarian of the Year.
While working in a commercial real estate office in downtown Naples, Mr. Vaughn met his wife, Patsy, who is also a Realtor. The couple has been married for 33 years.
Mr. Vaughn said he and Patsy are best friends who share many of the same interests and ideals, including a deep appreciation for the deputies and officers who keep their community safe.
They are especially grateful for Collier County Sheriff Kevin Rambosk and his hardworking deputies for making Naples such a safe and enjoyable place to live.
Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn are active members in their church, and in their spare time, they enjoy golfing and spending time with family.
