Louis Forget has been a member of the Florida Sheriffs Association for more than 50 years. He has been a longtime supporter of Florida’s law enforcement community and has maintained lasting friendships with numerous Florida sheriffs and deputies.
Mr. Forget said he’s continued his support for FSA throughout the years because he believes in the programs they offer, such as the Florida Youth Ranches, that better the lives of the youth in the community. As the state’s population continues to grow, Mr. Forget said it is vital that residents support those who are tasked with keeping people safe.
A native of Fort Pierce, Fla., Mr. Forget spent 46 years working in the fertilizer and pesticide business. Prior to that, he served in the Florida National Guard for 12 years and spent eight years serving in the Army National Guard.
He believes his time spent working with the National Guard protecting people and property falls right in line with the work that law enforcement does every day. So, he not only has an appreciation for the job, but also an understanding of what it entails.
Now that he’s retired, Mr. Forget enjoys relaxing at home watching television with his wife, Jean, who he has been married to for 68 years. When possible, the couple enjoys spending time with their three children.
