Peggy Goff

After nearly 20 years with the Florida Sheriffs Association, Peggy Goff was promoted to Deputy Executive Director of Administration in 2009.

Goff started with the association in 1992 as Controller, overseeing a multi-million dollar budget, assisting Sheriffs’ Offices with their finance and administrative issues and helping to plan the FSA Administrative Conference. She was made the Director of Administrative Services in 2002, in which she assumed additional responsibilities for operations and personnel. In this role, she became Contract Manager for the FSA statewide Vehicle Bid program, assisted in the development of the Fire Rescue and Tire Bid programs and began supervising site selection and contract negotiations for all of FSA’s training conferences and seminars. She also assumed oversight responsibility for membership operations, and full responsibility for the annual Administrative Management conference, which now includes Jail Operations as well.

In 2007, Goff’s title changed to Chief of Staff, and she continued in that role for two years before being named Deputy Executive Director of Administration. After FSA’s offices were destroyed by fire in 2008, she oversaw the building of FSA’s new $4.5 million headquarters, which were completed in September 2010.

Early in her career, Goff was employed as a staff auditor by a Tallahassee-based CPA firm, in which she conducted audits of private business, local government and not-for-profit organizations.

She received her Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Accounting from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida, and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Goff has served as an instructor for FSA’s New Sheriff's Institute (held every four years) and as a presenter for the Tallahassee Society of Association Executives, of which she is a member. She also retains memberships in the American Society of Association Executives and Florida Institute of CPAs.

Peggy Goff and her husband, Kevin, are Lifetime Members of the Florida Sheriffs Association and longtime supporters of the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches.
