Corrections Officer of the Year

About

The Florida Sheriffs Association’s Corrections Officer of the Year Award is given annually to a Florida corrections officer who has demonstrated exemplary service in the line of duty. The recipient of the award receives recognition at the Florida Sheriffs Association’s annual conference, a plaque and $2,000.

Deputy Corbett receives his award

Walton County Detention Deputy Thomas Corbett was selected as the 2019 Corrections Officer of the Year. Corbett is applauded for his unending service to the community and life-saving heroism in the line of duty. Due to his dedication to helping others while on and off duty, he has been nominated for his courageous service and received a Life Saving Medal. Read more.
